Quadruped Fashion Show

1 July, 6:30 – 7 pm | Senate House, Crush Hall

Quadruped Fashion Show will blend research and creativity to illustrate:

• How secondary motion can communicate attitude, personality, or intent.
• How kinetic contraptions can serve as rapid prototypes for expressive behaviours.
• How design and artistic practices (fashion, theatre, sculpture) can enrich social robotics.

Designs constructed earlier in the day at the Secondary Motion Robot Fashion workshop, with custom motion explorations. Expect three distinct “looks” that human and robot models will display!

While attendees may have stylistic familiarity with human model motion, one challenge here is to ask how that translates to quadruped avatars. Expect punctuation and shimmies!
