Call for Volunteers

The 18th International Conference on Social Robotics (ICSR + ART 2026), taking place from 1–4 July 2026 at the University of London, invites enthusiastic volunteers to support the organisation and delivery of this international event.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering at ICSR 2026 is a unique opportunity to be part of a leading global conference at the intersection of robotics, society, and the arts. As a volunteer, you will:

  • Gain first-hand experience in running an international academic conference
  • Connect with researchers, industry professionals, and artists from around the world
  • Attend selected sessions and explore cutting-edge work in social robotics
  • Develop organisational, communication, and teamwork skills

This opportunity is particularly well suited to undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in social robotics and related fields.

Volunteer Roles

Volunteers will play an important role in ensuring the smooth running of the conference. Tasks may include:

  • Assisting with registration and attendee support
  • Helping with session coordination and timekeeping
  • Providing guidance to participants at the venue
  • Supporting technical setup for presentations and demonstrations
  • Assisting organisers with general logistics

Who Can Apply?

We welcome applications from motivated and reliable individuals. While applications are open to all, priority will be given to students who are:

  • Interested in social robotics or related disciplines
  • Available during the full conference period (1–4 July 2026)
  • Comfortable communicating in an international environment

  • Free access to the conference (This does not cover registration requirement for papers, workshops, and grand challenge)

To apply, please complete the volunteer application form below. Deadline for application is 31 May 2026. Applications will be reviewed and successful applicants will be notified on the week of 15th June. Early applications are encouraged.
